Our History

Housed in the Bryan Building adjacent to James Weldon Johnson Park and City Hall; the building is one of the city's key historical locations. The Bryan Building was built during Jacksonville's Renaissance, stemming from the Great Fire of 1901. Witness for yourself the original brick and woodwork in The Lark. It bodes to the vision of city leaders of the time when they stated, “a greater Jacksonville is in sight.”

A Venue

Envision a space in the heart of the Urban Core of Downtown Jacksonville with a reputation as a premier cultural and corporate collaborative space. The Lark offers an updated historical space that can host a variety of events—from corporate meetings to creative workshops, or private parties to weddings. The Lark puts no limits on creativity. A venue that can be designed to fit any organization or person's individual needs.

Supporting the Arts

The Lark showcases top local and regional artists on a rotating basis. Supporting Jacksonville art and culture has always been a key mission and vision of The Lark.
